Women’s PSG: a derby in Issy, before the reinstatement of Diallo and Hamraoui?

How long will the case of the aggression of Kheira Hamraoui disrupt the season of PSG? A question for the moment unanswered while the investigation slips, that the internal atmosphere remains gloomy and that the sporting fight takes again its rights. After the international break, the Parisiennes move this Saturday (4:30 p.m.) to Issy-les-Moulineaux (Hauts-de-Seine) facing the GPSO 92 Issy, penultimate of the French D1 Championship. A priori easy meeting, but with a psychological aspect always heavy to take into account.

The Ile-de-France derby will be played without Kheira Hamraoui and Aminata Diallo. The two midfielders have not yet returned to the collective sessions while they have been training individually for eight days. When will they find the group? No date has been set, but the horizon for the beginning of the coming week seems credible. Since the start of this affair, Ulrich Ramé, general manager of the PSG women’s section, has been making regular progress reports with the players and the staff. It reserves the first announcements for them and maintains a permanent dialogue.

Reunion around a mediator

As explained by L’Équipe this Friday, Hamraoui and Diallo spent time together for the first time on Thursday at the Bougival training center (Yvelines). Gathered around an external mediator, they were able to discuss their feelings and once again assured PSG of their desire to regain the daily life of a high-level footballer as quickly as possible. All despite the tensions caused by the placement in police custody of Aminata Diallo, left without any charge against her, but considered for a time as suspicious because of the first statements of her ex-friend.

Moreover, according to Kheira Hamraoui’s statements to the judicial police during a hearing on Monday, her bodyguard was threatened by Aminata Diallo on November 25. In a press release, the latter’s lawyer denies the threats and refers to “false and infamous allegations”. An episode that did not prevent the good performance of Thursday’s meeting, therefore, even if the atmosphere between the two players remains fresh.

Pending their reinstatement, PSG wishes to refocus on the athlete. A first step was taken this Friday evening with the announcement of the extension of Grace Geyoro, the captain, until June 2024. A priority file for the management of the club.

Finally, the champions of France 2021 will try this Saturday to put (a little) pressure on OL, which sits on D1. A victory at Issy would place PSG up to the Lyonnaises, who host Fleury this Sunday afternoon. A meeting that will also be played without Barbora Votikova (rest) and Sakina Karchaoui (ankle).
