World Rugby on Thursday voted an extended international autumn window from 3 to 6 weekends and provisionally amended its rule 9, which governs the availability of internationals, despite opposition from the English and French leagues. This vote paves the way for the organization in the northern hemisphere of a new tournament from mid-November to early December, once the postponed matches of the Six Nations Tournament played at the end of October.
