Kabul – AFP
An explosive device targeted a police vehicle on Wednesday in a neighborhood in western Kabul, causing injuries, according to Taliban officials.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Qari Syed Khosti, said that “a bomb was thrown at the car of our (Taliban) Mujahideen, and two of them were wounded.”
For his part, a local Taliban official confirmed that a “bomb” was thrown at a police car, indicating that at least four were wounded.
The witness, Amin Amani (35 years), said: “I saw a large cloud of smoke from my car mirror and people were fleeing, and I was able to leave the place.”
Since coming to power on August 15, the Taliban movement, which made restoring security a priority in the country after twenty years of war, has faced a wave of bloody attacks by the terrorist organization “ISIS”.
In the past weeks, the terrorist organization “ISIS” has targeted the Taliban and Afghan minorities.
And last Thursday, a local police official was killed in a bomb attack on his car in Asadabad, eastern Afghanistan.
