WWE Monday Night RAW #1516
Ort: Intrust Bank Arena, Wichita, Kansas, USA
First broadcast: June 13, 2022
Spectators: approx. 4,000

Monday Night RAW kicks off this week with The Miz already on and it’s time for a new installment of Miz TV. Today the “A-lister” has a special guest. Paul Heyman is present and he introduces himself in his typical manner. The Miz talks about “money in the bank” and the interesting opportunity that comes with the suitcase. He himself was able to successfully use this suitcase twice and Miz is planning a third coup in the near future. Usually you have two champions to target on. However, Roman Reigns is currently the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Heyman likes the way Miz explains the concept of the money in the bank case and the chances of a new champion are huge. But not with the “Tribal Chief”. Against Roman Reigns, the opportunity to become a champion is nil. This Friday, Riddle will also have no chance in his title match against Reigns. This, of course, immediately gets Riddle on the scene and he’s already looking forward to the match. The two men in the ring don’t like this interruption at all. Riddle is confident and thinks his chances this Friday are excellent. Riddle seeks revenge and redemption for his best friend Randy Orton. Heyman respects Riddle, but he won’t defeat Roman Reigns. He even goes so far as to say that Riddle can’t even beat his opponent tonight. One thing should be clear. Should Riddle lose his title match, he will never get another WWE Undisputed Universal Championship match as long as Roman Reigns is the Champion. With these words, Heyman announces the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions. Jimmy and Jey want to intimidate Riddle. Luckily, Riddle has support in the form of Street Profits! Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins enter the ring and set up for the first match of the night between Montez Ford and Jimmy Uso.

Seth “Freakin” Rollins is getting prepped for an interview. Before that, we see a recap of what happened at last week’s RAW output. Cody Rhodes opened up about his injury and winning Hell in a Cell. Rollins came out and showed his respects to Cody. This was followed by an attack with a sledgehammer on the injured Rhodes. The latter has already been operated on and will be out for up to 9 months.

Kevin Patrick welcomes Seth “Freakin” Rollins to the interview and asks if Seth regrets attacking Cody Rhodes. The words of the last week were meant seriously. He respects Rhodes for his appearance on Hell in a Cell. However, Cody Rhodes is a virus to WWE and to himself. The man wanted to appear on “Money in the Bank” with a torn pectoral muscle. That’s why Rollins had to act and finally stop this madness. So he did. With these words he proudly presents his demolition hammer to us. Patrick wants to know what’s next for Seth. After Cody Rhodes was taken down, Rollins turned his attention to “Money in the Bank.” Later tonight he will have to qualify for the match against AJ Styles and he will do that as well. Just like he did Cody Rhodes. Suddenly, Seth is attacked by Styles! AJ won’t give up easily and is making a mark ahead of the qualifying match.

We see a recap of Dana Brooke’s 24/7 Championship title win. She was even able to successfully defend her title against Becky Lynch. Today “Big Time Becks” gets another chance. Before the match, Becky attacks her opponent and throws her out of the ring. There Lynch grabs a microphone and she talks about being angry. It was never about that 24/7 title. It’s about Becky not being respected. Week after week she is robbed of her victory and that should finally come to an end. She won’t let that happen to her and will take her frustration out on Dana. Asuka’s music plays. The Japanese wants to save Brooke and a brawl immediately breaks out between her and Becky. Asuka can decide this for himself. A frustrated Becky slowly backs away. We hear the music by Alexa Bliss. This makes its way to a “Money in the Bank” qualification match. The winning team will qualify for the Ladder Match.

Ezekiel is letting us know his brother is in great shape and it’s time to remind us that WWE stands for Walk With Elias.

Bobby Lashley defeated Omos and MVP on Hell in a Cell. Cedric Alexander also had his fingers in the game. Today Cedric will meet MVP. Before the match, MVP has a few words to say to Cedric. Apparently, Alexander has trouble accepting that the “hurt business” is history. Omos and MVP are in a different league and will prove it. Kevin Patrick is in the ring and will have RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair interviewing him. We hear her music and she makes her way to the ring. Patrick talks about Rhea Ripley and her new aggressiveness in the ring. Belair isn’t intimidated by Ripley. Rather, it is a new challenge. Bianca acknowledges that Rhea is showing a new intensity. However, there will be no new champion in Money in the Bank. Bianca will show why she is the best in WWE and successfully defend her title. We hear and see Rhea Ripley via the Titantron along with Damien Priest and Finn Bálor. The three Superstars underline the fact that they no longer want to be under orders. That’s why Edge was thrown out last week. Rhea also addresses Bianca directly, promising a fight Belair can’t win. Ripley has found himself and is free from the chains. At “Money in the Bank” she will then secure the RAW Women’s Championship for the second time.

United States Champion Theory prepares to pose down against Bobby Lashley. Sarah Schreiber comes along and wants to know if he is ready for that “pose-down”. Theory doesn’t really understand the question. After all, he’s the youngest United States Champion of all time and he looks great. His body is ready, he’s ready and today Theory shows us all why Lashley definitely didn’t deserve a title match. Once he’s done with “All Mighty,” Theory will also eclipse John Cena’s return in two weeks.

It’s time for the pose-down between United States Champion Theory and Bobby Lashley. The music of Theory can be heard. He comes to the ring very confident and seems ready. Adam Pearce is already in the ring introducing the first contestant. The youngest ever United States Champion, Theory! Next up is the “All Mighty” Bobby Lashley. We listen to his music and Lashley makes his way to the “pose down”. Pearce explains the rules. Each of them will perform three poses on the podium and the fans will decide the winner. Theory will go first. He stands on the podium and performs the three poses. Lashley doesn’t seem impressed. He grabs the mic from Pearce and promises not only to win the pose-down, but also the United States Championship. Next, Lashley performs the three poses. The decision seems clear. The fans cheer at Bobby Lashley and he is declared the winner. Theory is unhappy with the decision. After all, there is one more pose. Theory squirts baby oil on Lashley’s face and throws him out of the ring. After that, the US Champion climbs onto the podium and snaps a few selfies. The All Mighty wipes the oil off his face while Theory celebrates. With these pictures today’s RAW edition comes to an end.
