Xanten After 1084 days, the St. Helena Schützenbrotherhood Xanten has a new king. The coronation ball will take place on Saturday, September 10th, in the Schützenhaus.
The Xantener Helenen have reason to celebrate at their parade and the coronation ball on Saturday, September 10th: Because in the Schützenbruderschaft there is finally a new king after the Corona compulsory break. With the 112th shot, Stefan Dinges prevailed against fellow campaigner Frank Terhufen. He chose his wife Melanie Dinges to be queen. This should be celebrated extensively at the weekend.
“Being able to celebrate the Schützenfest together again after such a long break is something very special,” says the brotherhood, looking forward to the celebrations. The bird shooting was a very exciting and intense duel. “You could tell that both aspirants really want to be king of the brotherhood.” After a duel that lasted more than two hours at the Schützenhaus, Stefan Dinges scored the decisive goal. The heirs to the throne include Jürgen Winkels and Ulla Ingenfeld, Artjom and Anna-Lena Hildebrandt, Frank Terhufen and Heike Terhufen-Schiffer as well as Ernst and Anja Janhsen.
Ernst Prettyr, Klaus Langendonk, Annika Kropmann, Matthias Obermüller as well as Werner Semrau, Manfred Stabel, Frank Wälbers and Helga Stabel were successful in the prize and cup shooting.
Those celebrating anniversaries were also honored for their loyalty, including Ernst Prettyr, Andre Koppers, Gerda John, Tim Janhsen, Michael Aman, Ulrike Großholtfurth, Herbert van Bonn, Stephanie Ricken, Jan Angenendt, Thomas Poplawski and Ruth Winkels (for ten years of membership), Stefanie Irkens and Melanie Bovie (25 years) and Klaus Korff (40 years).
At the “very well attended” children’s shooting festival, Vera Otten emerged as the children’s queen.
