Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès is one of the most wanted men in the world. The man is suspected of having killed his wife, his four children, as well as his two dogs, before disappearing in the wild in April 2011. If some are convinced that the fugitive is dead, others think that he is still urge. In fact, it regularly happens that Internet users claim to have seen the Frenchman, each time in different places. Thus, the magazine Police Justice, has just brought to the surface the story that a woman shared on a forum in 2018. The latter claims that she saw XDDL in Thailand while she was on vacation.
She reveals that he would have arrived on board a black Honda Moove type scooter, to settle in the same restaurant where she was eating. “Who wears a helmet in Thailand if not to avoid any unexpected police checks. I then say to myself: ‘It looks like that motherfucker from XDDL’. I had like a visual flash, because I had seen before to go on a TV rerun of his case”. She then decides to go to a cybercafé to do some research and take a closer look at the photos of the fugitive. “There, I fell on the ass, it was him, the hair a little longer, mid-length, more muscular because I think he does bodybuilding, as there are sports clubs in all the neighborhoods and residences in Thailand,” she continues.
The presence of XDDL in Thailand is not impossible, as long as it is of course still alive. Indeed, as revealed by Bruno de Stabenrath in his book dedicated to his childhood friend, this country has many advantages for wanted people. “Any fugitive who respects himself applies the theory of the three borders. I can see Xavier in Thailand: in one night, he could cross into Burma, Laos or Cambodia – and from there, into Vietnam”, he had written. It is therefore very likely that if it was indeed the famous fugitive, he has since left the scene.
