Rumors have spread that Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi will unveil its next-generation foldable smartphone ‘Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 (tentative name)’ next month.
According to foreign media on the 28th (local time), IT tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) claimed that “Xiaomi will release the Xiaomi Fold 2 next month.”
Xiaomi introduced its first foldable smartphone ‘Mi Mix Fold’ in March last year. The successor model is expected to have improved specifications based on the in-folding design similar to the previous model.
According to reports so far, ‘Mix Fold 2’ features an 8.1-inch LTPO OLED foldable panel that supports 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, and will be equipped with Snapdragon 8+ 1st generation, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage.
If this rumor is correct, Xiaomi is expected to release its first teaser in early August.
