XV of France: William Servat also tested positive for Covid-19, all players negative

One more case of Covid-19 in Marcoussis. The coach of the forwards of the XV of France, William Servat, tested positive for the coronavirus during new tests carried out on Tuesday evening on the whole of the French group, announced the French rugby federation (FFR) Wednesday morning. The ex-hooker is the third case among the staff of the Blues, after Fabien Galthié and a member of the management whose identity has not been communicated. None of them are suffering from the symptoms of the disease yet.

On the other hand, “all the players tested negative, which confirms the result of Monday, February 15. They will be able to return to their homes today and are instructed to maintain their isolation, ”explains the FFR press release.

Tests carried out at the players’ homes

“Additional PCR tests will be carried out at home on Friday February 19, as well as Sunday February 20 in the evening, upon arrival of the players and the staff at the National Rugby Center in Marcoussis. Once the tests have been carried out, everyone will be placed in solitary confinement pending the results ”, underlines the federation.

The members of the XV of France will benefit from a first break since the start of the internship in Nice at the end of January. An opening of the health bubble achieved after two victories in the Six Nations Tournament in Italy (50-10) and Ireland (15-13) and before the reception of Scotland on February 28 at the Stade de France.
