In a men’s singles 1/8 focus battle, Chinese player Zhou Qihao played against German star Franceca. After four fierce battles, Zhou Qihao 3-1 (11-9, 8-11, 16-14 and 11- 6) Overcome the opponent and advance to the quarterfinals.

In this Star Challenge, he beat Yuan Licen to the top 16. Zhou Qihao defeated two Portuguese players, Apollonia and Freitas, with the same score 3-1 on the way to this tournament.
In the first game, the two sides started from 1 draw to 4 draws. After that, the Germans scored 3 points in a row to take the lead, and Zhou Qihao immediately chased them to 7 draws. At the end of the game, the two fought to 8 draws and 9 draws. At the critical moment, Zhou Qihao scored two points in a row and took the lead 11-9.
The second game was like a replica of the previous game. After 3 draws, Francesca scored 3 points and took a 6-3 lead. After scoring consecutively, they scored 10-7 and got 3 game points and finally tied the game with 11-8.
In the third game, Francesca led 5-3 and entered the middle game. After that, Zhou Qihao scored 4 points in a row to achieve the lead. The Chinese guy also roared after scoring a double shot. Next, Francesca recovered 1 point, and Zhou Qihao immediately called a timeout. After the suspension came back, the two took the lead alternately, and the score changed from 7 to 14. At the critical moment, the German returned the ball, Zhou Qihao hit a diagonal backhand, and 16-14 once again exceeded the game.
After 3 draws in the fourth game, Zhou Qihao gradually gained the upper hand, leading the opponent 7-4 by 3 points before entering the final game. After that, Zhou Qihao withstood the ferocious counterattack of the German giants, sealed the victory 11-6, and advanced to the quarterfinals.
In the other men’s singles 1/8 matches that have ended, the African elder brother Aruna defeated Chinese player Zhao Zihao 3-0 (11-8, 11-8 and 11-9) in straight sets; Xue Fei 3 -0 (11-7, 11-8 and 11-2) to win the game against American Kanak.
