[문화]Blackpink’s ‘Pink Venom’ tops Spotify in the US… First K-pop woman

A new song released by girl group BLACKPINK rose to the top on Spotify, the world’s largest streaming platform.

This is the first song by a K-pop female artist.

‘Pink Venom’ was streamed 7,937,000 times on the first day of its release on the 19th alone, and the next day, it topped the Spotify Global Top 50 Chart, YG Entertainment reported.

Blackpink’s 2nd regular album pre-release song ‘Pink Venom’ surpassed 100 million YouTube views within 29 hours of its music video being released.

Blackpink was nominated for three categories including ‘Group of the Year’ at the ‘MTV Video Music Awards’, an American popular music awards ceremony.
