Dubai: The airport authorities have warned that there will be heavy traffic in the next 10 days at the Dubai airport. 21 lakh passengers arrive at the airport from October 21 to 30. Officials also informed that passengers should take precautions to avoid congestion as an average of 2.15 lakh people arrive daily.
The main reason for the increase in traffic is the beginning of the mid-term holidays for American and British curriculum schools in the UAE and the influx of tourists to the UAE. The maximum number of passengers is expected on October 30. 2.59 lakh people are expected to arrive on this day alone. The airport authorities have also issued necessary instructions to avoid congestion.
To avoid congestion:
Make sure you have all the documents before leaving for the airport
Heed travel warnings on time
Above 12 years use Smart Gate system
Passengers must arrive at Terminal-1 three hours before
Online check in system should be availed
Use Emirates Airlines’ self-check-in system at Terminal 3
Make sure that the weight of the baggage does not exceed the specified limit
Take advantage of the Dubai Metro service to avoid traffic jams
Only public transport vehicles and official vehicles will have access to the arrival area of Terminal 3
Use car parking properly.
