10 Years of Amazon in India: A Journey of Growth and Success

Kochi:It has been 10 years since the global e-commerce company ‘Amazon’ entered India on June 5. Amazon launched its operations in India in June 2013 to compete with Flipkart and Snapdeal. It started with selling books with 100 sellers.

At the end of ten years, there are 12 lakh sellers on the Amazon platform.

After starting operations in India in 2015, the company also launched a Global Selling Program to provide opportunities to exporters in the country to sell their products in global markets. Today more than 100,000 exporters from India are part of this program. More than 11 lakh jobs have been created in the country. By 2025, the company is targeting exports of $2,000 crore.
