15,300 packets of banned beauty products were seized

Jeddah: 15300 packets of banned cosmetics were found in Jeddah. The field surveillance officers seized such banned cosmetics from two warehouses in Balad Baladia (municipality) limits. It was kept for sale. Balad Baladia chief Ng said that the field surveillance team under the municipality found two warehouses used to store prohibited products. Ahmad Alshafi said.

More than 15,000 packets were recovered from two locations in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce and the Food and Drug General Authority. Both the departments have completed the regular procedures.

The warehouses have been closed and notices have been issued to the owners to appear. Head of Baladia Office said that the inspection will continue to catch the establishments that are working in violation of the law.
