160 vehicles like lorries, cars, jeeps and vans were burnt; Damage worth crores of rupees

Kuttipuram ∙ 160 vehicles seized by the Kuttipuram police in various cases were burnt. The fire in the ground near the police station is estimated to cost crores of rupees. Yesterday morning at 11:30, the grass on the ground where the vehicles were parked caught fire.

Police are investigating the fire under mysterious circumstances. Vehicles like lorries, cars, jeeps and vans are the champions. The fire brigade from Malappuram, Thanur, Tirur and Ponnani extinguished the fire following 4 hours of effort.

The presence of many houses nearby also caused concern. As the vehicles are involved in various cases, it will also harm further proceedings. Every year there is a fire like this in the yard where the wagons are assembled under the Kuttipuram station.
