2 Million Car Travelers Pass Through Arteries on the First Day of Eid – 2024-04-14 08:12:32

THE MINISTRY of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) recorded data on car users leaving the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas via arterial roads on the first day of Eid, Wednesday, April 10 2024. The total reached more than two million homecomers.

“There were 414,547 cars leaving Jabodetabek via arterial roads and 2,072,735 people,” said Ministry of Transportation spokesperson Adita Irawati in a written statement, Thursday (11/4).

Adita said this figure was down 37.79 percent compared to the 2023 homecoming with 666,399 vehicles and 3,331,995 people. Meanwhile, in normal periods the number experiences a spike.

“Compared to the normal daily period, this number increased by 18.87 percent,” he said.

Then, 150,174 cars entered Jabodetabek via arterial roads and 750,870 people. This number decreased by 40.90 percent compared to 2023 with 254,092 vehicles and 1,270,460 people,

“Meanwhile, when compared to the normal daily period, this number has decreased by 17.82 percent,” explained Adita. (Z-7)
