Semperit AG Holding: New production facility and North American headquarters in Newnan/Georgia to boost growth in the industrial sector

Vienna, Austria / Atlanta, Georgia, USA, June 9, 2022 – “We are convinced that investing in the further growth of the Semperit Group in the largest economic region in the world will be a decisive success criterion for our future and are focusing on one market-oriented approach, stronger application orientation and faster product development,” says CEO Karl Haider at the ceremony for the official opening of the new North American headquarters and the new production facility for rubber seals in the USA.

In line with the strategic leitmotif of customer proximity, the Semperit Management Board decided two years ago to invest around 10 million dollars (EUR 9.4 million) in the construction of two new production lines and to relocate Stone Mountain’s former headquarters and sales warehouse for North America Investing /Georgia to Newnan/Georgia. The new location was commissioned a few months ago, while the opening ceremony in the presence of the interim mayor of Newnan, representatives from Coweta County and the local Chamber of Commerce might only take place today due to the corona pandemic.

In recent years, the Semperit Group, which has had a sales center in the region for almost 40 years, has recorded significant growth in North and South America. “Our increased regional focus now enables us to meet increased customer requirements and to serve our customers faster and more efficiently,” says Irene Coughlin, Managing Director Americas. “The new headquarters and production will also bring improved operational efficiencies, better supply chain and logistics management, and increased communication within the region.”

The 14,000 square meter facility in the Coweta County Industrial Park will provide 70 new jobs and will be powered by 100% renewable energy sources, in line with the Semperit Group’s goals of environmental protection, reduction of waste and lower energy consumption. In addition to administrative premises, the location includes production lines for building facade seals, window seals, road and bridge expansion joints as well as other sealing components and expanded sales capacities for the entire sealing, conveyor belt and hose portfolio.
