China Sports Daily News The 2023 National Badminton Individual Championships sponsored by the China Badminton Association recently kicked off at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Zhejiang. More than 500 athletes from all over the country gathered in Yongcheng.
This National Championship is the highest-level annual event in domestic badminton, and the champions will be determined on August 13. There are 5 events in the competition: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. Each athlete can sign up for up to 2 individual events. A total of 571 athletes from 27 units across the country signed up for the competition, including 155 men’s singles and 122 women’s singles, including 131 men’s doubles, 102 women’s doubles, and 152 mixed doubles.
The national first team was absent from the competition due to preparations for the World Championships and the Asian Games. Players from the national training team and the national youth team came to Ningbo to attack the medals.
The organizing committee of the event increased the design and investment in the hardware facilities and sports display of the venue, re-hoisted professional event lighting above each venue, and arranged for the sports display in the competition area. (circle)
