Roch Voisine returned Thursday evening to present his revisited country-folk-rock show Americana Light at the Capitole Theater in Quebec.
The singer returns with four musicians, but without a drummer, making the show “more acoustic”.
“It allowed us to change a few songs, we had to redo arrangements compared to the very first series twelve years ago, so it’s a bit of a different ‘show’, but people love it, and then the rest of us too”, he rejoiced.
The public was at the rendezvous, which enchants the singer. “It proves once once more that country-folk music in Quebec is part of our roots and then people respond very well,” he added.
The group will also perform at the Montreal casino next week, then in Saint-Hyacinthe, among other dates. He will then be in Europe in March, before returning to Quebec this summer.
