A pregnant woman and her four-year-old son were brutally assaulted by the woman’s partner. The assailant, who was completely drunk, hit her partner in the stomach and also tried to strangle the child.
The event occurred this Saturday in the town of La Quiaca, Jujuy, according to local media outlet Jujuy al Día. It all started when the wife arrived at the home and the man was in the room.
The man, identified as Fernando Martínez, began to complain to her for having arrived late while insulting her.
After a few minutes, the attacker wanted to leave with the television, to which the woman objected. Faced with this situation, the man became more violent and began to hit his little son on the head and grabbed him by the neck to strangle him. The mother stood between the two of them and that’s when she also received blows from the man’s fist.
Because of the screams, the neighbors were alerted and Martínez fled. Immediately a patrol car arrived at the house and an ambulance that transferred the victims to the local hospital. Both remain hospitalized out of danger, the same media reported.
The case was in charge of the Section No. 17 of the town, which has already carried out two raids that gave negative results. The assailant is still on the run.

The girl and boy, Adiah and Adrial, were born following 22 weeks of pregnancy on March 4, 2022, breaking previous records for the earliest birth for twins and the lightest twins at birth, as Adiah weighed 330 grams and Adrial 420 grams, according to a statement released Saturday.
Doctors then gave “no chance of survival” to the two little ones, the parents told Guinness, which lists world records.
“When I started having contractions, the hospital I was admitted to refused to keep the babies alive and practically left them for dead,” said their mother, Shakina Rajendram.
As she was on her second day of labour, doctors told parents that if the babies were born even minutes before their 22nd week they would not have received care, the Guinness World Record points out.
Most hospitals don’t try to save babies born before 24 to 26 weeks.
Despite bleeding heavily, the mum says she tried her best to ‘hold the babies’ for a few more hours when she was 21 weeks and six days pregnant.

Her waters finally broke 15 minutes following midnight and less than two hours later “both twins were born and were successfully resuscitated”.
A photo published by Guinness shows the two one-year-old babies close to their world record certificate. Young Adiah looks surprised, her mouth wide open, her brother Adrial seems more pensive.
A portrait very different from that taken at birth, when the newborns were very thin and their skin transparent.
The twins had to remain hospitalized for six months and survived several complications, including a cerebral hemorrhage and sepsis.
Today, little Adiah has already gained at least 18 times the weight she had at birth, says her mother.
“She’s an extremely happy and social baby, and she smiles all the time,” adds Shakina Rajendram. “She is very talkative and can have ‘conversations’ with us and her toys for hours.”
Adrial had to return him twice to the emergency room following infections and respiratory problems, but his situation “is improving”, underlines his mother, who describes him as “observant, attentive and intelligent”.
The previous record was set in 2018 by twins from the US state of Iowa, born a day later than Adiah and Adrial.

The mechanics give a new perspective to a game that, essentially, mixes puzzle and platform so that the protagonist, finally, has access to toilet paper at a crucial moment in life.
“‘Oh my God! There’s no toilet paper!’ Let’s help a man in trouble! You are the common toilet paper in every house, but you can roll it all you want. And now there’s a man in need of toilet paper! You start from the bathroom ceiling and go to the man. But all kinds of pitfalls await you along the way!” reads the game’s synopsis on the Switch store.
Launched earlier this month, the game is available for R$24 on the eShop, and is by Takahiro Miyazawa, the same creator of Red White Yellow, a Tetris-style puzzle game that mixes musical mechanics.
