New York – A year and a half following the death of US actor Michael K. Williams, the dealer who sold drugs to the star of “The Wire” has pleaded guilty. The dealer sold Williams fentanyl-laced heroin in broad daylight in New York, a lawyer is quoted as saying by the industry portal Deadline. He sold Williams the fatal dose that killed the actor.
On March 31, 2023, the feast of Our Lady of Pity, Bishop Alfonso de Galarreta conferred the four minor orders on two groups of seminarians. The following day Bishop de Galarreta ordained fifth year seminarians to the subdiaconate.
This Passiontide Friday, when the Church celebrates Our Lady of Pity, His Excellency Bishop Alfonso de Galarreta conferred the first two minor orders of Lector and Porter on seven seminarians: six Americans and one Irish, and a Benedictine Friar from the Monastery of Our Lady Dear Lady of Guadalupe, New Mexico, United States.
He then conferred the two second minor orders of exorcist and acolyte on seven other seminarians: six Americans and one Australian, and two Benedictine brothers from the same monastery of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Finally, five fifth-year seminarians made their definitive commitment to the Society of St. Pius X the following day, with a view to their ordination to the subdiaconate.
On April 1, Passion Saturday and the first Saturday of the month, Bishop de Galarreta ordained five seminarians for major ordination to the subdiaconate: three Americans, one Irish and one South Korean, and a Benedictine Friar from the Monastery of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

It has now been a year since the former Guinean Prime Minister, Dr. Ibrahim Kassory Fofana, was deprived of his freedom and placed in detention in the Conakry remand center. Guest on the program “Mirador” this Thursday, April 6, 2023, Master Dinah Sampil indicates the state of health of his client requires an evacuation.
“The prison authorities have released Kassory Fofana for a hospital center, in this case the Pasteur clinic in Conakry where he is more than one (1) month ago now. So being at these places, already three (3) health bulletins have been issued by this establishment and I have here the last one that I picked up yesterday to send the bulletin to whom it may concern. In this bulletin, it is written that the illness from which Ibrahim Kassory suffers is still present because he has not received adequate treatment and this requires evacuation to a specialized center. His illness cannot be cured in Guinea. We knocked on every door so that he might receive the appropriate care. Kassory is ill so we must not wait for him to die to justify himself, ”suggested Me Dinah Sampil.
According to this lawyer for Ibrahim Kassory Fofana, the refusal of justice to satisfy the request to seek treatment has nothing to do with what he is accused of.
“We believe that the refusal to comply with Kassory’s request to seek treatment is not due to the needs of the reproaches made to him for having embezzled, laundered, corrupted or led a life that has no connection to do with its own income. We believe that the motives are located elsewhere. Because Kassory’s troubles only started following his inauguration as chairman of the provisional committee of the rainbow RPG party.
Speaking of the appeal lodged at the level of the Supreme Court, the deliberation of which is expected on April 11, Me Dinah Sampil provides details.
“This time, it is an appeal exercised by the special prosecutor once morest the last order which set Kassory Fofana free and which attached this freedom to the payment of a deposit. We did the hearings and the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Supreme Court was able to demonstrate that the special prosecutor, by exercising this remedy, literally violated the rules of form that should have been observed. Under these conditions, the debate was limited to the form of the question; we did not go into the substance to demonstrate the means. So it is this question which is put under advisement on April 11th. Now it should be noted the condition of release which was the payment of bail, the prosecutor and his counsel produced a brief before the African Court of Human Rights in Abuja which was seized by us. And in this answer they affirm that if until now Ibrahima Kassory is not free it is because he did not pay the deposit. Immediately we wrote to the prosecutor here is the money, told us the account and the bank in which we will deposit the money, since that no answer. And we wrote to the legal agent of the State to say be careful, if we are not told the bank and the account we will assert this means before the African Court of Human Rights in Abuja since the referral has been made in writing and there too we have no response”, concludes the former president of the Bar Me Dinah Sampil.
It should be recalled that former Prime Minister Ibrahim Kassory Fofana is being prosecuted for alleged acts of embezzlement of public funds, corruption of public officials, money laundering and illicit enrichment.
