2023-04-27 21:36:19
Moscow announced Thursday that it had refused a request for a consular visit to the American journalist imprisoned for a month in Russia, in retaliation for the refusal of the United States to issue visas to Russian journalists who accompanied Sergei Lavrov to the UN in New York.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has also ordered his government to work on creating museums dedicated to Moscow’s year-long offensive in Ukraine, according to instructions published on the Kremlin website.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Chmygal, visiting the Vatican, invited Pope Francis to visit his country and asked for his help in repatriating Ukrainian children taken to Russia by Moscow forces.
For his part, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said: “Allies and partners of the US-led contact group have sent 230 tanks, 1,550 armored vehicles and significant quantities of ammunition, 98% of the promised equipment, to Ukraine to equip nine new armored brigades“.
In its daily update on the situation, British intelligence shows a photo of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant which indicates that in March 2023, Russian forces had established battle positions with sandbags on the roofs. Russia has controlled the plant since March 2022.”However, this is the first time that reactor buildings have been integrated into tactical defense planning..”
In Poland, an intriguing affair. The remains of a “aerial military object” – an air-to-surface missile according to local media – were found in the north of the country. An investigation is underway. According to an expert quoted by a Polish radioit is unlikely to be a missile “came from Russia or from the front in Ukraine“.
