The user of “Peekaboo” complained regarding the disrupted pre-order in “Yandex Go”. The girl booked a taxi for a certain time at an estimated cost of 1000 rubles. But the driver never arrived, and the application canceled the order without any notification or explanation.

In the support service of an indignant lady answeredthat the system automatically searches for a car 15 minutes before the appointed time (regardless of whether you booked the trip a day or an hour), and the disruption of the order is caused by rush hour. As a result, the aunt called a car in another taxi aggregator, was still late for work and received a promotional code for 100 rubles from Yandex, although she paid 1000.

The user suspected that she was blacklisted by Yandex, but former and current taxi drivers came to the comments and explained the reason. “As a Yandex driver, I say, remember, you will find a car faster than you will use all these supposedly convenient functions of them, which are inconvenient at all times because of their implementation,” wrote a user with the nickname co6akacytylaya.

But the whole mechanism with the disruption of pre-orders under the thread was described by GraySpade. He said that he himself works as a taxi driver and calmly cancels such applications. A Yandex Go driver can refuse trips without explanation, and the aggregator punishes drivers by writing off activity points that are given for previously made orders. If the driver has enough points, he simply donates them in favor of future earnings.

“If it’s rush hour, I won’t wait from 15 minutes even 10 minutes for free, knowing that then there are still 10 minutes of waiting, for which the client may not get out. Relatively speaking, during this time I can make two short orders and earn 300-400 rubles net. So booking a car in advance (an hour [или] per day), you only reduce the likelihood that a taxi will be found for you, especially during rush hour, ”explained GraySpade.

The current taxi driver gave advice on how to be sure not to be late on a long journey through the city. He suggested ordering a car not on time, but in advance, and leaving yourself a handicap of 20-30 minutes (provided that you live in a normal area and city limits). Yandex Go itself does not give any guarantees that a car will definitely pick you up with a scheduled order, so it’s better not to even rely on this service.
