Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has been taken to a hospital on the first night of his detention following returning from years of exile. Thaksin had chest tightness and high blood pressure and was taken to the Bangkok Police Hospital around 2 a.m., the prison authorities said on Wednesday.
The prison has not been able to provide adequate treatment, Deputy National Police Chief Lt-Gen Prachuab Wongsuk told Archyde.com. Thaksin was accompanied by eight prison guards during the transfer. A Apple today released a commercial entitled “The Invincibles” (“The Invincibles”), with adorable footage of a puppy named Trip.
