A short novel full of life, offered by Mymi Doinet and Anna Griot to young readers to revel in words and colors
A beautiful story of camaraderie that tells the integration of visual impairment into daily life through incredible experiences.
It’s an important day for Axel. It’s back to school.
Accompanied by his faithful Joséphine, he is ready to perceive this new environment in his own way. Will he manage to see beyond appearances? Because Axel is blind from birth. With his friends he experiments with the different senses with humor and encourages readers to ask themselves if they feel the same thing. But when it comes to feelings, there are no more differences. His serenade to Zoe is definitely a hit.
This little novel, playful and tender, will be an excellent support for discussion with young children before the Paralympic Olympics.

Dive into the adventure with Axel and his friends to live this funny experience!

Florida’s Rising Rank in Best States for Workers: Analysis Reveals Improving Working Conditions under Governor DeSantis
2023-09-05 11:14:00
MIAMI.- Many complain regarding the lack of job opportunities, however, Florida has improved its position in the ranking of the best states for workers, according to a statewide analysis of working conditions across the country by the nonprofit organization Oxfam.
The study shows that since Governor Ron DeSantis took office, Florida has moved up seven places in the annual rankings, suggesting that working conditions in the state may be improving.
In fact, the Sunshine State went from position 37 to 30. The ranking is led by California, Oregon, the District of Columbia, New York and Washington. In the last places are Georgia, Mississippi and North Carolina.
The analysis took into account factors such as wages, labor protections and union rights.
While Florida still has room for improvement in these areas, the upward trend in the rankings is good news for workers in the state.
In particular, Florida has improved its position in the minimum wage ranking. In 2020, voters approved a ballot initiative to raise the statewide minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2026.
This gradual increase in the minimum wage has helped improve working conditions for many workers in Florida, according to the research.
In addition, Florida has improved its position in the union rights ranking. Although the state has “right to work” laws, which prohibit union security agreements, employees still have the right to join a union and bargain collectively.
The improvement in Florida’s position in this ranking also suggests that workers in the state are having more success negotiating for better working conditions.

Governor DeSantis has stressed the importance of investing in workers and their families, and this ranking progress suggests his approach is paying off.
As Florida continues to recover from the pandemic and prepare for the future, it is important to continue working to improve working conditions and ensure that workers in the state have the protections and rights they deserve.
The new study is published at a time when the country celebrated Labor Day, which recalls the struggles of the labor force to have better conditions.
