The performances of the national team at the European Volleyball Championship have an improving tendency, which was also confirmed by the final appearance of the Czech men in the group in Skopje, where they defeated the host North Macedonia 3-0 in a direct fight for third place following sets of 25:19, 25:23 and 25:17 . The victory came following 82 minutes and thus designated Serbia as the opponent in the round of 16, which will be played at the weekend in Bari.

MLS Season Pass ‘exploded’ in subscriptions on Messi’s arrival in the US
2023-09-06 22:40:00
We have already spoken a few times regarding the various records conquered by MLS Season Pass — service of Apple TV that broadcasts Major League Soccer games worldwide — since the arrival of Lionel Messi to Inter Miami (one of the American football league teams). Now, however, we finally have more accurate figures on the growth of the service since the Argentine star left for the United States.
According to data from the analysis company Antenna — e published by The Wall Street Journal —, just on July 21st, when Messi made his debut, the MLS Season Pass won no less than 110 thousand new subscribers in the US — almost 20 times more than the number of subscriptions opened the day before, when the streaming service recorded 6,100 new subscriptions.
According to the company, this number of new subscriptions — which contributed to making the month of July the strongest for the streaming service in the US — was even greater than that recorded on the day the MLS Season Pass was made available by Apple. The number of new signings on July 21 was also higher than the opening of the championship, on 2/25.
These data justify the massive disclosure of Messi’s debut by Apple – including by the CEO himselfChief executive officeror executive director.”>1 Tim Cook, who recently shared the information that the number of MLS Season Pass subscribers has more than doubled with the arrival of the star. Antenna’s research, while only covering US subscribers, bears out this trend.
Another interesting fact is that approximately half of new service subscribers from February to July were users who already subscribed to Apple TV+; 15% of those who subscribed to the full season also subscribed to Apple’s movie and series streaming service — which is quite plausible, as the company offers discounts for those who purchase the two services together.
Even, in addition to the discount for Apple TV+ subscribers, the MLS Season Pass is also at a lower price for those who subscribe to the season. As there are few games left until the end of the championship, the plan now costs R$60 for individual subscribers and R$50 for those who already subscribe to TV+.

SB 1718: Florida’s Toughest Law Against Undocumented Immigrants – The Story of Raquel López Aguilar
2023-09-06 21:31:10
Florida has the toughest law once morest undocumented immigrants in the United States. The dreaded SB 1718 went into effect on July 1 of this year and now it is known that there is already a detainee who is being accused of “trafficking in persons”, a felony typified in the new regulation. This is the story.
This is the Mexican Raquel López Aguilar, originally from Chiapas, who is detained following being accused of transporting undocumented migrants from Georgia to Florida in a vehicle. He was arrested by Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) officers in Hernando County.

Under the new Law SB 1718, promoted by Governor Ron DeSantis, it is considered a felony to cross the Florida state border carrying undocumented persons.
Section 10 of SB 1718 states: “Any person who knowingly and knowingly transports within this state an individual who the person knows, or reasonably should know, entered the United States in violation of the law and is not has been inspected by the Federal government since its illegal entry from another country, commits a felony of the third degree.”
The seriousness of the crime increases to the second degree if you transport more than 5 people or a minor, the law establishes.
In accordance with Univisionthe law adds human trafficking or smuggling to the list of “crimes” that can be considered “extortion activity”, which in Florida is considered a “first degree felony punishable by up to 30 years in prison and a fine of $10,000″.

Different versions of the same case
Both the Florida Highway Patrol and the Mexican consul have given different versions of the immigrant’s case.
The FHP assures that Raquel López Aguilar was transporting six people, including a minor. In addition, she maintains that when they detained him they verified that he had entered the United States illegally and that he had already been deported before.
Police also claimed that the passengers in the van were undocumented and that one of them was previously deported following committing a crime in Georgia.
For his part, the Mexican consul in Orlando, Juan Sabines Guerrero, said on Friday that Raquel López was arrested on August 21. The police officers stopped her to do a routine check, apparently because the windows of her truck were tinted and the windshield was smashed. He was driving on the I-75 highway, north of State Road 50. There they realized that the driver did not have legal status in the United States and that he was carrying other people who were in the same situation, the newspaper detailed. The nation.
Sabines explained that López is being held at the Hernando County Detention Center while investigations begin. He said he faces five smuggling charges, one for each person in the vehicle. He also announced that he already has legal advice.
In addition, Sabines stressed that López has the support of the Mexican Consulate in Orlando.
On the merits of the matter, Sabines assured that Raquel López Aguilar is innocent, since he has affirmed that he was not driving the vehicle.
“The curious thing is that he was not driving, so we will see what the prosecution will do to justify these charges that they want to impute to an innocent person who dedicates himself to work,” Sabines asserted according to WFLA.

The only one they detained was Raquel, the consul said, “and the others were released because this is not an immigration case, it is a criminal case. Migration has nothing to do with it. Migration hasn’t even come.”
The consul reported that there is a $10,000 bond for Raquel López, money that she cannot pay for which she will remain in custody.
The next hearing will be on September 21, where the charges once morest López will be officially read.
“The state attorney will try to charge an innocent person once morest a law that is clearly illegal and authoritarian. We are sure that in less than a month Raquel will be released. In this way, we will defend each Mexican person who is a victim of this unconstitutional law,” insisted the consul.
On the other hand, the chain Telemundo reported that Raquel López Tierne has four charges for transporting undocumented persons, and that she faces possible deportation.
The aforementioned news chain also broadcast statements by Consul Sabines, who harshly criticized the Florida authorities. “I ask myself once more, was it not because I was brown? Because this law is obviously racist. I don’t know if the same thing happened to a Mexican immigrant or to an Argentine with blue eyes and blond hair, I highly doubt it,” he said.
One of the undocumented immigrants who was in the vehicle declared for Telemundo. “From my point of view, we were not doing anything wrong for them to arrest us and accuse us; more to the driver, because we came from work, ”he said.

Thierry Henry’s Debut as Coach of Les Bleuets: A Promising Start and Olympic Dreams
2023-09-06 21:36:00
A key figure in French football now on the bench of Hopes, Thierry Henry is already attracting all eyes as he directs his first friendly match once morest Denmark on Thursday (6:30 p.m.) in Nancy. For once, the spotlight will not be on the pitch, at the Stade Marcel-Picot, but on the sidelines, where the new coach of Les Bleuets will take his place for the first time during an official match, a little more two weeks following his appointment.
“I see it well, I also played in Espoirs and I know very well that there were not as many people for a press conference, he admitted on Monday. That’s how it is, I don’t I’m not going to change what I did before, and so much the better for the team too, having people at the stadium, that the players feel a little more concerned, it’s nice.”
For the moment, they are mostly impressed. “An honor”, “a legend”, “a great person” … Malo Gusto and Andy Diouf have only praise in mind when it comes to evoking the second top scorer in the history of the Blues (51 achievements in 123 matches). “I think he can bring us a lot to each and also collectively, slips Malo Gusto. He takes a step back, he seems to really want to take us where he wants.”
As for the new media pressure surrounding the team with the arrival of the world champion (1998) and European champion (2000), it “pushes us to do better, we have to see things on the bright side”, according to the Chelsea side. “You say to yourself, there is Thierry Henry watching me, you have to do things right”, laughs Andy Diouf. From his game plan, the former glory of Arsenal let slip only two words, “possession, pressing”, during his presentation, and there was not enough time for a bet anyway. in a clear strategic position.
The 2024 Olympics are still a long way off for Henry
But the announcement of his first list revealed a strong choice: no player born in 2001 is included, not even those who played the Euro this year, when Sylvain Ripoll was still coach. The titular goalkeeper of Lille Lucas Chevalier, brilliant during the last European tournament, was therefore not retained. The 2001 vintage can however participate in the Olympic Games which will take place in Paris next year, the stated objective of the French Football Federation, which wants a medal.
But if Henry “understands the craze” for the 2024 Olympics, he prefers above all to think of the qualification campaign for Euro 2025, which begins Monday (6 p.m.) in Slovenia for the Blueberries. “I’m thinking regarding Denmark, to find a consistent team, which can also be consistent once morest Slovenia.” Strikers Rayan Cherki, Bradley Barcola, Arnaud Kalimuendo and Elye Wahi are among the few players recalled since the change of coach, and are called upon to carry the offensive waves of the Espoirs. In midfield, Warren Zaire-Emery, holder at only 17 years old in the midfield of Paris Saint-Germain, will also be scrutinized in Nancy.
