For this last Mons stage of the season, the Liévinois club should not be missed. The verdict came following a tough race where the girls did as well as the boys. No jealousy “No jealousy,” admits Laurent Szewczyk. “Both teams finished in 2nd place in the stage and 3rd in the…

Georges-Louis Bouchez Offers Job Solution for Unemployed Relying on Public Transport
2023-09-10 10:51:00
Since the start of 2023, the employment rate in Wallonia has started to decline once more. For the first time – and it is symbolic – the employment rate in Brussels is higher than in Wallonia. Faced with this situation, Georges-Louis Bouchez, guest on the set of It’s not every day on Sunday, once once more did not fail to express his way of thinking. “We are always responsible for our fate, we must stop relying on others”he said following hearing the testimony of a person who has been unemployed for 7 years and who does not want to take public transport to go to work.
“It may be too hard for some people to hear, but if you have to travel 40 or 50 km to work, I don’t think it’s superhuman. I think it’s something that society is aware of. right to ask you, especially when this same company has been paying for you for 7 years, amounts which are still quite interesting. Not to mention the social benefits”said the president of the Reform Movement.
Reliance on public transport
Live on the show, an anonymous witness named Marc also came to explain his situation: he is 56 years old and has been unemployed since 2009, or 14 years. He worked in accounting and earns between 1,300 and 1,400 euros per month, according to his statements. “I had a telephone interview for 5 jobs and each time, it’s the same thing: when I said that I depended on public transport, they cut it short and said that it’s not going well. We are blamed not to look for work and when you want to work, it’s the employer who refuses because you depend on public transport. You have to be credible…”explains Marc.
Christophe Deborsu reacts immediately: “You were offered quite a few jobs in service vouchers. You said ‘no’, you say. Why?” To which Marc replies that he has a mobility problem and that he does not have a driving license. “Is it really impossible for you to take the bus and go to work? Are the Tecs still performing well in Wallonia?”then says the presenter of It’s not every day Sunday. “Yes, but as a service voucher, I would be surprised if we agreed to take people who depend on public transport”argues the anonymous witness.
Really give him my contact details, I’m not kidding
Faced with this exchange, Georges-Louis Bouchez responded in a completely unexpected way to this person: “I have a proposition to make to him: I’m looking for an administrative assistant at Francs Borains. I really invite him to come for a job interview. We have a bus stop right in front of the stadium and I accept that We arrive at 9 a.m., so there’s no problem. Really give him my contact details, I’m not kidding”said the president of the MR.
Marc promised he would.

Seismic Standards and Building Quality in Marrakech: A Comprehensive Guide
2023-09-10 10:46:28
Marrakech, like most large cities, presents buildings from very different eras side by side.
Buildings constructed in recent decades must have been designed according to anti-seismic standards.
“Since the 80s and 90s, all buildings have been built according to seismic standards” specifies Pascal Cohen. “Today in Morocco, we are obliged to submit structural plans when we want to build a building, whatever its size: a building, an individual house, a convention center, a museum or a conference center… We is obliged today to provide these guarantees to the authorities which issue building permits. They check all these plans and only give you authorization to build if these plans respect international anti-seismic standards.”
“We can no longer build a building in Morocco without it being earthquake resistant.”
The most recent buildings are therefore supposed to resist shocks better.
This is also the case for older buildings, designed at certain periods when there was a particular interest in construction materials and techniques: “everything that was built in the 50s and 40s, during the French Protectorate, is very resistant, it was of very high quality” comments Pascal Cohen. “L“The buildings that have held up well are those that were built in the 1950s, or in recent years.”
But other buildings, from other eras, do not have this resistance. There are buildings from the 60s and 70s, built quite quickly and with materials that are not always up to standard.
And there are very old and fragile buildings, especially in the small streets of the Medina, world famous. “These are very old buildings and maintenance is not necessarily done over time. And when a shock like Friday evening comes, we pay the price because we didn’t pay attention to this heritage.”
