Amazon launches Audible audiobook service in Brazil for R$20/month

Part of Amazon from 2008the audiobook platform Audible is landing today in Brazil. Still in the testing phase, there is a free trial period of the service for one month or three months if you are a subscriber to Amazon Prime. Subscription costs R$20 monthlybut you can also buy audiobooks separately.
The idea is to listen to the content of books, rather than reading. You can do this through the Audible app, as well as the website and Echo devices. The position you stopped at is synchronized between devices, just like in the Android app. Kindledigital book service… written by Amazon.
You can also download them for offline listening on a device. Other available features include up to 3.5x reading speed and CarPlay mode. When purchasing a book or starting to listen to it, an estimate of the time it will take to finish the work is displayed. The full version of the platform will be made available soon, following the testing phase.
The subscription includes more than 100 thousand books in Portuguese and other languages, and it is possible check the catalog before subscribing/starting the trial. In addition to a flood of self-help titles and categories like fiction and biography, there are others like “The Alchemist” (by Paulo Coelho) and “The Midnight Library” (by Matt Haig).
According to the TechnoblogAudible’s complete catalog has more than 300 mil books that can be purchased separately; platform subscribers have 30% discount when purchasing audiobooks. Some of them have a seal signaling that they are only available on the service.
Brazil is the first country in Latin America to receive Amazon’s audiobook platform. It is worth remembering that the retail giant also launched your credit card here recently, showing that the Brazilian market is gaining more space in the company’s strategy.
