Although there were previous rumors that Kojima Productions was developing a game for Xbox Game Studios that relied on the cloud to some extent, it still came as a big surprise when the project was announced last year. While we still know very little regarding it, it’s rumored to be a horror game called Overdose. Unfortunately, it may be a long time before we get any further information regarding the project, as Xbox boss Phil Spencer visited Kojima Productions in March “to kick off the exciting journey”. We got a tiny sign of life at last week’s Tokyo Game Show and today when Game Watch asked Spencer regarding the game, and he responded that it was going well but wasn’t ready to be shown off yet. He also visited Kojima Productions today with other leaders from the Xbox team, and Kojima shared some images from the visit on the X. Since this is a Hideo Kojima game, we know it will be unique and we look forward to seeing more from it, although we assume the studio will focus on finishing Death Stranding 2 first. At least signs of life like this mean we know Kojima’s secret project is moving forward and hasn’t been frozen, canceled or anything like that.

They are fed up and intend to make themselves heard. User groups indicated that they had launched an unlimited blockade on Tuesday of the airfields of Lifou, Maré and Ile des Pins, in New Caledonia, in particular to obtain a reduction in prices for the domestic airline Air Calédonie.
A new pricing policy on passenger freight ignited the powder at the end of July, before demands extended to the prices charged by the company, in a quasi-monopoly situation in this overseas territory. Several meetings were held between users, Air Calédonie and the local government, the majority shareholder of the company, without an agreement being reached.
Occasional blockages led to the cancellation of 160 flights this summer
User groups are calling in particular for the establishment of a single price and an increase in the number of low-cost tickets issued as part of the aid system for island residents. Measures rejected on August 3 by the government, which then specified in a press release that “the introduction of a single fare ticket would amount to charging loss-making fares which would lead to an operating deficit for the company”.
Since the start of the conflict two months ago, occasional blockages have already led to the cancellation of 160 flights at a cost of 336,000 euros, the company estimates. A consultation meeting is due to take place on September 27, but the user groups have indicated that they will not attend. In 2011, a previous conflict over the price of plane tickets ended in the death of four people in Maré, during clashes between supporters and opponents of the blockade of the island.

iPhone 15 Pro Max has the 2nd best camera in the DXOMARK ranking
2023-09-26 15:12:34
Now that the iPhones 15 are in the hands of users around the world, the saga of testing and evaluating devices has finally begun — including performance, battery, crash and durability, as we mentioned.
Today, it was the DXOMARK to release its first test of the new devices: the the cameras do iPhone 15 Pro Max — which received a score of 154 pointsin order to occupy 2nd position in the ranking — behind only the Huawei P60 Pro.
In the analysis, the excellent performance of the model was highlighted both in Photo as in video. Some of the most positive features are accurate exposure, vivid brightness, and excellent contrast.
Portrait
According to DXOMARK, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is excellent at capturing images in Portrait mode, featuring impressive skin tone and facial exposure accuracy in various lighting conditions. Furthermore, the depth map is now more accurate, allowing better segmentation of the blurred part, especially in fine details.
Still according to them, the intensity of the blur remains pleasant and with a beautiful and contrasting focus, especially visible in nighttime conditions. The device also maintains the contrast rendering characteristic of previous iPhone generations and prioritizes bright, well-exposed faces.
HDR Intelligent
They also evaluated HDRHigh dynamic rangeor large dynamic range.”>1 Smart 5, which represents an upgrade over the previous generation’s Smart HDR 4 and is present in all new models.
In their opinion, the feature helps to produce natural and pleasant colors, even in challenging lighting conditions. Thus, HDR images are bright and with good contrast, not just in the subject of the photo, but in the photo as a whole.
On the other hand, DXOMARK points out that although HDR images look impressive in the Photos app (Photos) of the iPhone 15 Pro Max (and others), iPads, Macs and XDR displays, this rendering is not visible outside of the Apple ecosystem. Therefore, users will only see JPEG images without HDR effect on most other smartphones or devices and applications that do not support this Apple photo format, degrading image quality and user experience.
Zoom
Perhaps one of the main changes to the iPhone 15 Pro Max camera (which is restricted to it) is the new telephoto lens, which offers impressive zoom capabilities, reaching up to 5x (120mm equivalent) with ƒ/2.8 aperture and optical stabilization. .
However, DXOMARK points out that despite significant developments, the absence of a mid-range solution leads to inconsistent image quality across the entire focal range.
In this sense, especially between 35mm and 90mm, the level of detail drops as the zoom is obtained by cropping the image from the 48 megapixel sensor. Between 90mm and 120mm, the iPhone 15 Pro Max still doesn’t switch to the telephoto lens, but instead applies detail enhancement processing to try to render images a little sharper, which results in excessive sharpening, unnatural detail rendering, noise and artifacts, according to DXOMARK.
Video
With video recording capability rated at 158 points, the iPhone 15 Pro Max sets a “new standard of performance”. Here are the videos made by DXOMARK with the device:
More precisely, in 4K format at 60 frames per second, the iPhone 15 Pro Max consistently delivers excellent results and one of the best texture/noise compensations among the devices tested by DXOMARK.
Additionally, the HDR format offers stable exposure and smooth exposure transitions. The color reproduction of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is also one of the best rated to date and, finally, the device’s autofocus remains strong even in low light, in addition to the stabilization being among the best on the market.
The complete evaluation can be seen on this DXOMARK page.
