The driver of a white Ford Focus car escaped from a police checkpoint in the Traslasierra valley, with the unusual situation that he abandoned the vehicle on the shoulder and escaped on foot through the fields.
It was minutes before 10 this Tuesday on Route 24, in the jurisdiction of Las Tapias, near Villa Dolores.
After noon, they continued looking for him in the area but he had not appeared. An intense police operation, led by the San Javier Department of Police, surrounds the place. No official information on the matter has yet been provided by the police force.
The driver, apparently unaccompanied, was leaving Villa Dolores heading east. After fleeing from the Highway Police control, he drove regarding 500 meters, parked the vehicle on the shoulder and entered a thick forest.
A leafy field of tar, espinillos and tuscas makes access to a space of several hectares of native forest difficult. The area is located between Villa Dolores, Las Tapias and the Chuchiras area.
The situation, for now, cannot be explained, while the origin of the vehicle is being investigated and the driver who chose to abandon it and run is being tracked.

The firefighters came in large numbers this Tuesday around 2 p.m. in Deurne. “When our teams arrived, there was a violent fire. It was also suspected that there might still be people inside,” the spokesperson for the Antwerp fire district told HLN.
