(AFP, Darmstadt, 7th) The first images captured by Europe’s Euclid space telescope were released today, including horse-head-shaped nebulae, never-before-seen galaxies, and elusive “Indirect evidence” of dark matter. Agence France-Presse reported that the Euclid Space Telescope was launched in July this year, striving to uncover the mysteries of dark matter and dark energy, the biggest mysteries of the universe. The Euclid Space Telescope will create what it calls the most accurate 3D map of the universe in history by mapping 1/3 of the sky, covering 2 billion galaxies. After the Euclid Space Telescope arrived at a stable hovering point regarding 1.5 million kilometers away from the Earth and rendezvoused with the James Webb Space Telescope, it began to transmit its first observation results back to the Earth. The European Space Agency (ESA) announced the first five images captured by the Euclid Space Telescope at a press conference held at the European Space Operations Center in Darmstadt, Germany. European Space Agency Administrator Josef Aschbacher praised the more than 3,600 people who contributed to the project and praised it as “a milestone in European science and exploration.” Carole Mundell, the European Space Agency’s science director, said that “rapidly capturing beautiful images of the vast sky with extremely precise speeds” demonstrates the capabilities of the Euclid Space Telescope. The images include stunning views of the nearby Horsehead Nebula, as well as spiral and “irregular” galaxies. But Euclid Space Telescope project scientist Rene Laureijs told AFP that for the research team, the most exciting thing is the image of the “Perseus Cluster” ; This is a distant galaxy cluster composed of more than 1,000 galaxies. According to the European Space Agency, there are more than 100,000 galaxies lurking in the background of the Perseus galaxy cluster, some of which are 10 billion light-years away and have never been seen before. The European Space Agency calls the Euclid Space Telescope the “dark universe detective” responsible for investigating why 95% of the universe seems to be composed of dark matter and dark energy, regarding which humans know very little. By capturing light that takes 10 billion years to reach Earth’s vicinity, the Euclid Space Telescope also hopes to gain a deeper understanding of how dark energy has driven the expansion of the universe since the “Big Bang” 13.8 billion years ago.

2023-11-08 20:53:47
The Microsoft 365 Copilot First Impressions course is now available for free and complements the company’s journey to train professionals in generative AI
São Paulo, November 8, 2023 – In recent years, the corporate world has seen an increase in intensity and workload. According to the Annual Job Trends Index 2023, a study carried out annually by Microsoft, users carry out, on average, 18 surveys, receive more than 250 emails and participate in around 150 chats daily. Additionally, meetings on Teams have tripled compared to 2020, with some people interacting with up to 11 apps every day. With the aim of helping professionals navigate this constantly changing scenario, Microsoft, in partnership with LinkedIn, the largest professional social network in the world, made the learning trail available for free “Essential Career Foundations in Generative Artificial Intelligence” which now has a new module: “Microsoft 365 Copilot First Impressions“. The training arrives to complement the other five courses launched in August this year focused on basic concepts, application at work, ethical considerations and the impact of Generative AI tools in today’s society.
Microsoft 365 Copilot is an AI assistant for work that can unlock productivity and unleash creativity in the apps millions of people use every day: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. The product was announced for general availability on November 1st for corporate users.
In the “First Impressions of Microsoft 365 Copilot” course, students will have the opportunity to learn how to generate drafts and create presentations from natural language prompts. They will receive guidance on how to use Copilot to create visually impactful presentations in PowerPoint from a text document in Word, extract critical trends from data in Excel, and compose or edit text in Word.
This is the first module focused on this type of tool and the expectation is to launch other training courses throughout the year. The training, which lasts 23 minutes, also covers the ability to compose email messages and summarize conversations in Outlook. Attendees will learn how to use Copilot to generate real-time meeting summaries and follow-up tasks in Teams. A brief introduction is the starting point for attendees to familiarize themselves with Microsoft’s Copilot AI assistant. It is worth noting that participants who complete the course will receive a Career Essentials certificate following passing the knowledge test.
“Generative Artificial Intelligence is a technology that will increasingly be part of our daily lives and the tendency is for it to have a continuous and accelerated evolution, bringing countless opportunities to the job market. Emergency Weather Alerts and Assistance in Belgium: 1722, 112, and Storm Precautions
2023-11-08 20:53:00
An area of rain is currently crossing Belgium from west to east. A fairly active undulation will also form in the second part of the night and Thursday morning with heavy precipitation in places. In the province of Luxembourg, placed on yellow alert between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Thursday, accumulations might reach 15 to 25 l/m², or even locally 30 l/m², over a period of 12 hours, specifies the IRM.
The aim of 1722 is to prevent emergency numbers from being overwhelmed by calls for interventions that can wait. In the event of damage caused by a storm or water damage for which assistance from the fire brigade is required, you must therefore dial this number. If a life is in danger, you should call 112.
The FPS also recommends using the electronic counter 1722.be, considered “the most direct way to request help from firefighters in situations where no life is in danger”.
The 112 emergency centers and firefighters always give priority to people whose lives are potentially in danger. “They analyze situations on a case-by-case basis and determine who needs to be rescued first. During a storm or flood, they have to process many requests at the same time,” emphasizes the federal public service. “Be patient and don’t call back to find out when help will arrive,” he asks.

Qatar Mediation for Israel-Hamas Ceasefire and Hostage Release
2023-11-08 20:22:48
As of: November 8th, 2023 9:36 p.m
According to media reports, Qatar is mediating between Israel and Hamas to achieve a ceasefire and the release of hostages. Thousands once more fled from the north to the south of the Gaza Strip.
Media in Israel report on negotiations with the terrorist organization Hamas under the leadership of Qatar: There is talk of a ceasefire of one to two days in exchange for the release of ten to 15 hostages. However, an association that has been joined by numerous relatives of hostages in Israel insists that all hostages will be released if there is a ceasefire.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military said it destroyed numerous tunnels in the north of the coastal strip. A tunnel was found near a school run by the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees. Water supplies and oxygen devices were also found in tunnels, a spokesman said. Since the start of the war, the army says it has already destroyed 130 Hamas tunnel entrances.
“Putting the Palestinian issue back on the table”
Once once more, many people followed Israel’s call to go to the south of the Gaza Strip. While the Israeli military spoke of 50,000 people, the United Nations did not have an exact number. According to the UN, the day before there were around 15,000.
An interview in the New York Times with a leading Hamas representative is causing a stir in Israel. He said that with the terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, Hamas planned to trigger a permanent war with Israel. It was necessary to “change the entire equation and not just have a clash,” explained Chalil al-Haja of the Hamas leadership in Doha. “We managed to put the Palestinian issue back on the table and now there is no peace for anyone in the region.”
