2024 National Holidays in Abu Dhabi: Impact on Public and Private Sectors

Abu Dhabi ∙ The UAE Cabinet has announced national holidays in the public and private sectors for 2024. The holiday is applicable to public and private sector employees.

January 1, 2024 is the beginning of the new year period. The first long holiday is from the 29th of the Arabic month of Ramadan to the 3rd of Shawwal. Arafah holiday on 9th of Dhul Hajj. 10 to 12 Sacrifice holiday. Muharram 1 marks the beginning of the Islamic year. Prophet Muhammad’s birthday is on 12 Rabi’ul Awwal. UAE National Day on December 2.

The Cabinet’s decision will help streamline operations in both the public and private sectors and increase the attractiveness of the private sector.
