The Korea Economic Daily is jointly holding a contest for the ‘31st Korea Impact Tech Awards’ with the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Information and Communications Promotion Association. Established in 1994, this award has contributed to Korea’s ICT industry by discovering and supporting excellent information and communication technology (ICT) and products. The awards ceremony will be held at the ‘World IT Show’, the largest information technology (IT) exhibition in Korea. We hope for the participation of excellent companies and individuals with innovative and creative ideas that will lead the Korean technology industry.

Industrial and financial stocks rose in the Muscat index at the end of trading on Sunday

direct: The main index of the Muscat Stock Exchange, “Muscat 30,” rose by 0.39 percent at the end of trading on Sunday, closing at 4,594.94 points, gaining 17.96 points from its levels in last Thursday’s session.
Today, the industrial and financial sector indices rose. The first rose by 0.23 percent, and rose by 0.21 percent, and in contrast, the industrial sector index declined by 0.02 percent.
Muscat Desalination City topped the gainers today with 2.56 percent, followed by Galfar Engineering and Contracting, which rose 2.42 percent, and Omantel rose 1.92 percent.
On the other hand, Dhofar Food and Investment shares led the decliners by 8.93 percent, followed by Raysut Cement by 2.44 percent, and Phoenix Energy declined by 1.75 percent.
Trading volume declined today to 12.39 million shares, compared to 19.11 million shares in the previous session.
The value of trading also decreased to 2.23 million riyals, compared to regarding 4.13 million riyals last Thursday’s session.
OQ Gas Networks shares topped the active shares in volume and value today, with 7.67 million shares traded, worth 1.19 million riyals.

Cologne/Vienna – One in connection with one Terror warning for Cologne Cathedral arrested man is not released because of a European arrest warrant from Austria. The Cologne police announced on Sunday that extradition proceedings were pending at the Cologne Public Prosecutor’s Office. The Cologne district court then issued a so-called detention order. The 30-year-old Tajik was transferred to the Cologne correctional facility.
