A Sunday in September turned into an exciting journey into the tradition, memory and work of the winemakers of the past. In Contrada Monteoliveto, among rows of grapes and autumnal scents, a special harvest day was held that involved three generations of the Vernazzaro family, led by the winemaker Gerardo Vernazzaro. Historic winemaker of the Cantine Astroni, Gerardo inherited his passion for wine from his grandfather Giovanni, a man who dedicated his life to the care of the vineyard and the production of wines that have conquered the palates of many people around the world.
The harvest, a crucial moment for viticulture, turned into a real family celebration. It was not just about picking the ripe grapes, but about passing on a tradition, teaching the younger ones the value of manual labor and respect for the land. Gerardo’s nephews, Nico and Peppe, jokingly nicknamed “best worker” for his dedication, were the undisputed protagonists of the day. Fascinated by the cutting of the grapes and intrigued by every phase of production, the children asked their uncle countless questions, demonstrating interest and a desire to learn the secrets of winemaking.
Guided by Gerardo’s wise experience, the young grape harvesters have discovered the charm of an ancient profession, which combines manual skills and passion. “Seeing my grandchildren so interested and curious fills me with hope for the future”, commented the satisfied winemaker, visibly moved. “It is important that they understand where we come from and what our roots are, so that they can pass them on in turn.”
But it wasn’t just the youngest who took part in this special day. Along with Gerardo, other members of the family also took part in the harvest: Piero Pavia, Rosaria Vernazzaro, Pina Orlando, Emanuela Russo and Domenico Vernazzaro, united by the desire to keep alive a tradition that has its roots in the past, but looks confidently to the future. The day also saw the participation of a dear family friend, Claudio Tenuta, who shared with them the work among the rows and the pleasure of a day in the open air.
Harvesting is not just an agricultural activity, but an experience that involves all the senses. The scent of freshly picked grapes, the warmth of the September sun, the sound of the scissors cutting the bunches and the laughter echoing through the vineyards made this family Sunday unforgettable. Under the expert guidance of Gerardo, who with his long experience has been able to make every phase of the process fascinating, young and old have been able to discover how much love and dedication are hidden behind a bottle of wine.
This special day has shown that the harvest, although a tiring job, is also an opportunity to meet and transmit values. For Gerardo, the real success is not only in the international recognition that his wines have obtained, but in the ability to keep the family tradition alive, passing on the passion for viticulture to the new generations.
The harvest, therefore, has become a moment of union, in which the past meets the present and is projected towards the future. A day in which the land, the wine and the family have intertwined, creating precious memories that, like a good wine, will improve with time.

The official Juventus jersey does not bring in money, this is the fact that stands out when looking at the Serie A rankings…
The Juventus after the triple 0-0 draw in a row in Serie A, they find themselves in a limbo, between being happy for never having conceded a goal (for the entire first 5 matchdays) and being disappointed for the not very incisive offensive phase against Roma, Empoli and Napoli. The Piedmontese coach Thiago Motta will have to recover the best Dusan Vlahovic to continue their climb in the standings, at the moment the Bianconeri occupy 4th place with 9 points (level on points with Empoli). While ahead are Udinese and Napoli with 10 points and their cousins Torino with 11.
There is also another one classification from the Serie Athat of the Sponsorships on the shirts. In fact, if on the field the Old Lady is competitive at high levels (the phase of decline of the attack in the last three days needs to be improved), from a financial point of view there is a significant problem. The Turin club only collects 4 million euros.

Inter e Milan dominate unchallenged (71 Nerazzurri and 65 Rossoneri) this ranking, while the Bianconeri are behind in terms of sponsorship and not a little. It had been since the season 1981/1982 that there were no sponsors on the Juventus uniform. The entire Italian movement is in decline, but the Milanese have found a way to overcome the crisis. It remains to be seen how Juventus will behave, given that the sponsors on the shirt are a very important source of income.

For postmenopausal women with bothersome symptoms, HRT is safe when prescribed appropriately. Explanations.
Your gynecologist is offering you menopausal hormone therapy (MHRT), but you’ve heard negative information about it. It’s true that in 2002, an American study, the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI), discredited it: it showed a higher risk of breast cancer and cardiovascular accidents in women treated, compared to those taking a placebo.
A result that is all the more destabilizing since it was then assumed that the estrogens in HRT conferred cardiovascular protection. But a re-examination of the data showed that the patients in this study had started HRT at an average age of 63, or about ten years after menopause.
However, at this age, aging arteries, and the atheroma plaques that go with them, are weakened by estrogen. This explains a higher rate of cardiovascular accidents. Since then, several studies have made it possible to establish recommendations.
Not at any age
“THM should be prescribed at the start of menopause and before the age of 60”explains Dr. Brigitte Letombe, medical gynecologist, member of the office of the Study Group on Menopause and Hormonal Aging (GEMVi) and co-founder of the All for Menopause collective.
A comparison between the benefits of treatment and its risks (the “benefit/risk balance”) always shows greater benefits, “especially on the cardiovascular level, she completes. But of course, it has to be re-evaluated every year.”. Risks may become greater over time, “especially those over sixty”.

Depending on the background
HRT should not be prescribed to women who have already had a cardiovascular accident or hormone-dependent cancer, or who have severe dyslipidemia, uncontrolled diabetes or serious liver disease. “These are absolute red lights”insists cardiologist Claire Mounier-Véhier, co-founder of the endowment fund Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes. On the other hand, HRT can be prescribed without concern to women at low risk of breast or cardiovascular cancer.
And if you are a smoker, diabetic, hypertensive, overweight or have another risk factor, “It is then necessary to carry out a complete cardiovascular assessment and decide on a case-by-case basis.”says Claire Mounier-Véhier. This concerns the majority of women who often present, at the age of the possible prescription, several cardiovascular risk factors: smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure, dyslipidemia, overweight, sedentary lifestyle; or also migraine with aura, history of hypertension or diabetes during pregnancy…
In what form?
If you are eligible, MHT will be taken in the form of a gel to be applied every day or a patch to be changed every three to five days, to which is added (except in the case of hysterectomy) natural progesterone in tablet form. Oral estrogen administration is strongly discouraged, as it increases the risk of phlebitis, pulmonary embolism, coronary events, strokes and hypertension.
