While each year nearly 1.19 million people lose their lives in a road accident worldwide according to the WHO, more and more players are providing autonomous taxis. We boarded one of them. It allowed us to reach the heights of San Francisco from the city center in about twenty minutes without a hitch, even though the path was steep. However, there are still a good number of ethical, IT and societal challenges to overcome.
