NCAA DII Men’s Cross Country Regional rankings: Week 1

NEW ORLEANS – Cross country is humming along.

Hear is the Week 1 edition of the NCAA DII Men’s Cross Country Regional Rankings for the 2025 season, as released on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Regional Rankings are steadfast subjectively by a single member coach in each respective region.The regional representative is tasked with weighing returning teams’ strength with current season results in determining a rank-order of squad potential. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible to receive a ranking. Teams with provisional status within the region might potentially be ranked.

Regional Championships are set for Saturday,November 8.

Atlantic Region

No. 1 Charleston and No. 2 Shippensburg opted for safe routes. on the flipside, No. 3 Davis & Elkins defeated Walsh, ranked No. 21 nationally, by 14 points at the Robert Morris Invitational. The Senators practically presented a crash course on roster depth with a 26 second 1-5 gap and a less than a minute 1-8 gap. Concord made enough noise at the Southern Showcase to earn No. 4 and kutztown slid up from No. 7 to No. 5 based on their win at the Kutztown Division II/III Challenge.

Central Region

Projected AQs: No.1 East Central (Okla.), No. 2 Northwest Missouri, No. 3 Washburn

Notes: Don’t be fooled, No. 1 East Central (Okla.) is just as dangerous as they’ve always been. A skewed 1-5 spread at the Aggie Duels is lessened when looking at just the top-4. that’s not to say that No.2 Northwest Missouri isn’t nipping at the Tiger’s tail.The Bearcats clashed with No. 6 Neb.-Kearney at the Platte River Rumble and pranced away with a 50 point victory. Augustana (S.D.) saw the only movement rankings-wise, leapfrogging Missouri Western to steal the No. 5 spot.

East Region

Notes: No. 1 Roberts Wesleyan may just have the edge over No. 2 Southern Connecticut State. Vying for the top spot, the two East Region powerhouses left the nest this weekend. The redhawks showed out at the Hamilton Short Course averaging 15:38 over 5k,a nine second improvement from last year’s performance. The Owls managed a tight spread of their own at the University of Hartford Invite, putting their runners within a 49 second span. Wilmington (Del.) jumped five places to settle in at No. 5 after handily beating Jefferson (Pa.) 27-48.

Midwest Region
