A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder for stabbing a woman, believed to be an acquaintance, in the chest at his apartment in Ota Ward, Tokyo. The woman has been confirmed dead, and the Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the details by switching the suspicion to murder.

Hiroto Kajikawa (21), an unemployed man from Ota Ward, Tokyo, was arrested.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, it is suspected that he stabbed a woman in her 20s in the chest with a knife in her apartment in Higashirokugo, Ota Ward, and attempted murder.

The woman is believed to be an acquaintance, and on the evening of the 13th, Kajikawa visited the police station and said, “I killed a person,” and turned himself in.

When the police inspected the interior of the apartment, a woman with blood flowing from her chest was lying on her back on the futon, and a knife-like knife was found nearby.

The woman was later confirmed dead.

In response to the investigation, the police confirmed the identity of the woman and switched the suspicion to murder to investigate the details.
