25,000 strikers demand better working conditions in the US auto industry – Automotive

Detroit – The United Auto Workers (UAW) union is expanding its strikes at US automakers to two additional plants. From Friday followingnoon (local time), Ford production in Chicago and the General Motors (GM) plant in Lansing, Michigan, would also be on strike, said UAW boss Shawn Fain. Around 7,000 additional employees would stop working. This brings the total number of strikers to around 25,000.
