Vienna/Salzburg – The Autonomous Austrian Women’s Shelters (AÖF) are celebrating their 35th anniversary. That’s “no reason to just celebrate, because there’s still a lot to do,” is emphasized on the occasion of two anniversaries: The women’s helpline 0800-222-555, through which those affected by violence can get help, was founded 25 years ago. Against this background, the association is currently taking stock: There is a nationwide network of women’s shelters. But not all countries would meet the requirements.
