5 officers were arrested on charges of embezzling funds collected from accident perpetrators and selling motorcycles seized by the “Traffic”

Al-Marsad Newspaper: An official source in the Control and Anti-Corruption Authority stated that the authority has initiated a number of criminal cases during the last period in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, and the legal procedures once morest them are being completed.

The cases initiated by the authority include the arrest of two non-commissioned officers working in the traffic department of one of the governorates, for seizing the funds collected from traffic accident perpetrators as compensation for the owners of damaged vehicles and the failure to deliver those funds to the beneficiaries.

The cases included: the arrest of three non-commissioned officers at the Traffic Department of one of the regions, and a resident, for selling impounded motorcycles to the resident’s traffic following disabling surveillance cameras.
