5,000 people in the streets of Brussels against the Russian invasion of Ukraine

About 5,000 people – according to police figures relayed by the organizers – took part in a demonstration in Brussels once morest the Russian invasion of Ukraine and in solidarity with the Ukrainian people. This gathering, at the initiative of Promote Ukraine, the Union of Ukrainian Women in Belgium and the Belgian committee of the European Network of Solidarity with Ukraine (RESU), is part of a week of action once morest the war, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the conflict.

The demonstration is supported by 200 organizations and citizens committed to supporting Ukraine, associations of Ukrainians in Belgium, actors from the cultural world, feminists, trade unionists, people active in the defense of LGBTQI+ rights, etc. Activists demand the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukrainian territory and an unconditional halt to the bombardments.
