A 6.6 magnitude earthquake struck Mindanao, Philippines. To date, the damage caused by the telluric event has not been reported.
It is estimated that the earthquake had a depth of approximately 111 km, so SHOA (the Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the Chilean Navy) indicates that the characteristics of the magnitude 6.6 earthquake located 140 km SE of General Santos, Philippines , does not meet the necessary conditions to generate a tsunami.
The authorities are investigating whether there were human losses along with the impact it had on the area.
