6-nation foreign conference in Tashkent; Western countries demand to restore Afghan assets

In the foreign meeting of 6 countries in Uzbekistan, Western countries have been urged to immediately restore the frozen funds of Afghanistan for the eradication of poverty in the war-torn country, payment of salaries of teachers and doctors, combating natural disasters and construction and development. do

According to the World News Agency, in this meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vipa Hajiyev, the official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Vafunyat Bekzoda, Zamir Kabulov of Russia, Ismatullah Argashev of Uzbekistan, Chinese official Yu Xiaolong, Hassan Kazemi Qaumi of Iran and Pakistan Deputy Foreign Minister Syed Raza Shah Syed Shah Raza Shah attended.

The meeting was held on behalf of a club established for Afghanistan by six countries bordering Russia and Afghanistan: Russia, China, Iran, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

The club was established to discuss ways to achieve long-term peace in the war-torn country.

Addressing the opening session, the foreign minister of the host country Uzbekistan said that about 25 million people are dying of hunger in Afghanistan. There is no money even for the salaries of teachers and doctors.

The participants of the meeting said that the problems in the poverty-stricken country are many and the resources are not equal. The decades-long war-torn country has further deteriorated due to non-disbursement of funds.

The participants urged Western countries to immediately restore the assets of Afghanistan’s central bank worth $7 billion.

It should be remembered that US President Joe Biden has announced to give three and a half billion dollars out of Afghanistan’s assets of seven billion dollars to the families and victims of 9/11, which has been protested by international organizations including the Taliban government.

The US court has also declared President Joe Biden’s decision unconstitutional and ruled that the White House administration has no authority to do so.
