A 61-year-old Canadian man has been sentenced to prison for creating images of child abuse using deepfake technology. The Quebec Province Court sentenced Steven Larouche to three years. The man had confessed and found himself guilty. At least seven videos and 86,000 pictures were made by him and distributed further.
