Alappuzha: Y.M.C.A. P.O. Thiruvananthapuram, the defending champions, entered the finals of the 67th Indian Oil State Basketball Championship at the Philip Memoria Indoor Stadium.
Thiruvananthapuram defeated Pathanamthitta 72-31 in the women’s semi-final. International stars Anisha Cletus scored 21 points and Kavita Jose scored 13 points. Palakkad defeated Kottayam by 54-49. In men, KSEB Trivandrum defeated Kannur 71-55. Jerome Prince scored 17 points and Sejin Mathieu scored 16 points. Prem Prakash scored 17 points and Sugeethnath scored 14 points for Kannur. The winners of the semi-final between Ernakulam and Kottayam will be the opponents in the final.
