90 years of master Fernando Botero as an exercise in memory in two emblematic works of Medellin | Snail Culture

Stories, anecdotes and a journey through the art of master Fernando Botero were part of the commemoration of their 90 yearsin charge of Ana Piedad Jaramillo, Director of Book Events, George Mario Alvarez producer of the documentary ‘Botero: engraved on fire in memory’, and the Secretary of Citizen Culture, Alvaro Narvaez.

A commemoration enlivened by the Network of Music Schools that accompanied this important moment for MedellínColombia and the world, to tango and milonga rhythm, in a setting that represents the scars of the conflict in the country, but also hope through art: the sculptures ‘Wounded Bird’ and ‘The Bird of Peace’ in San Antonio Park.

It was an activity that allowed citizens to strengthen their relationship with the art of master Fernando Botero. In addition, this has allowed the entity “strengthen the relationship of co-responsibility with the center of Medellin, with the surroundings and with the communities.”
