9,000 households were affected: the power outage paralyzed the Wörthersee area for almost an hour

According to Kleine Zeitung readers, Pörtschach, Velden and the “entire west end” of Lake Wörthersee were dark. The power went out just before 9 p.m. Keutschach and the surrounding area also had a blackout. The otherwise brightly lit lookout tower on the Pyramidenkogel was – except for “Notlamperln” – dark.

Around 9,000 households were affected. There were also fire brigade operations, as reported by residents. Kärnten Netz (Kelag) worked as quickly as possible to repair the damage, which was probably caused by a fault at the Forstsee substation.

Shortly following 10 p.m., the lights went on once more in the affected areas. All households should be supplied with electricity once more by midnight.
