Montana Accord, Fritz Jean and Edgar Leblanc Fils are candidates for the provisional presidency

The economist Fritz Alphonse Jean, former governor of the Central Bank, and the engineer Edgar Leblanc Fils, coordinator of the Organization of the People in Struggle (OPL) filed their documents on Monday January 17, 2022, at the Bureau follow-up to the August 30 agreement known as the Montana agreement. The two candidates ran for the provisional presidency of the transition, after the publication of an electoral calendar by the National Transitional Council (CNT), resulting from the agreement of August 30, 2021. This electoral calendar covers the period from from January 13 to 31, 2022.
