A mural featuring Karim Ouellet was produced in Dakar, Senegal, where he is from, a few days following the announcement of the tragic death of the artist from Quebec.

The author is a Quebec artist currently touring music and painting in Africa, Monk.E. Well known in the world of rap and visual arts in our country, Monk.E knew Karim Ouellet and wanted, during his stay in Senegal, to pay tribute to him.
“It is my ritual to live my mourning”, he explained in an exchange of messages with the Journal on Instagram.
In addition, the family of Karim Ouellet indicated in his obituary, published Thursday, that the deceased will be entitled to a private funeral.
