Ed Sheeran & Bring Me The Horizon dynamitent “Bad Habits”

Ed Sheeran called on Bring Me The Horizon to give a new dimension to “Bad Habits”. aficia invites you to discover a version for the less vitaminized of this planetary tube.

This is undoubtedly the most unexpected collaboration of recent years, as the worlds of the two artists differ. It all starts with the ‘Brit’s Awards’ when it is offered to Ed Sheeran and to Bring Me The Horizon to do the opening of the ceremony on Bad Habits. The two artists had the flair to accept, and this is where the new version of Ed Sheeran’s piece was born.

The positive reactions were unanimous and the buzz grew enormously. All of this prompted Ed Sheeran and Bring Me The Horizon to record a studio version of the collaboration. Note that the new version of Bad Habits was done in 3 weeks. The artists had already decided to collaborate together some time ago, but the pandemic has passed by. They confirmed that the project of a common title is still valid.

The meeting between two worlds

This collaboration is all the crazier as it mixes two diametrically opposed styles: on the one hand, the pop of Ed Sheeran, on the other the metal of Bring Me The Horizon. Both artists are hugely popular in the UK and the new version of “Bad Habits” might only work. This track starts normally since the beginning of the title and its guitar riff remain unchanged. But from the bridge, it is accentuated by very energizing drums and a very sharp electric guitar. The refrain and its backing vocals take on a very 30 Seconds To Mars. Then the singer of BMTH, Olly Sykes, takes over on the second verse and the two come together, all at a frantic pace. The track gains momentum, explodes, picks up speed and relief with the vocal flights of the leader of Bring Me The Horizon to end with an extremely powerful screaming.
