Doha: In Qatar, 357 people were arrested on Friday for violating Kovid regulations. Authorities arrested 345 of them for not wearing masks.
All those arrested were handed over to the prosecution for further action. Home Ministry officials have arrested thousands of people in Qatar so far and handed them over to prosecution for violating Kovid regulations.
It is mandatory in the country to wear a mask in all public places. Violations related to not wearing a mask will be dealt with under Order No. 17 of 1990 for the prevention of infectious diseases. So far, thousands of people have been arrested and handed over to the prosecution for further action, the health ministry said in a statement.
